Short answer

Singapore citizens enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days on a passport valid at least six months. Since 1 October 2025 every arrival must file the free 'All Indonesia' digital declaration before travel.

Heading to Batam or Bintan? For a Singapore citizen the entry rules are simple: no visa for short stays, but one digital form to file before you arrive. Here is what you need, and the special rule that trips up Singapore PRs.

Visa and length of stay

As a fellow ASEAN member, Singapore citizens enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days. This is for tourism and short visits, is non-extendable, and cannot be converted to another permit. Your passport must be valid at least six months from your date of entry, and you should be able to show an onward or return ticket.

The All Indonesia arrival declaration

Since 1 October 2025, arriving passengers must complete Indonesia’s “All Indonesia” digital declaration. It replaces several separate forms, combining:

  • the immigration arrival card,
  • the customs declaration (the former e-CD), and
  • the health declaration.

It is free, and you file it up to three days before arrival on the official site or the All Indonesia app. Batam’s international port was among the first places where it became mandatory.

The special rule for Singapore PRs

Singapore permanent residents who hold a passport from a visa-on-arrival-eligible country may enter Batam, Bintan and Karimun for up to four days without a visa-on-arrival, provided they present their physical Singapore blue IC. The four days cannot be extended; for longer stays, a visa on arrival (paid) is needed.

Customs basics

Declare cash or equivalents above the Indonesian threshold and any goods over the duty-free allowance in the customs section of the All Indonesia form. For currency tips across the region, see our money and currency guide.
